August 2010RE-HOMERe:Home is the continuation of the "Re-" artist's books series. This large-format, labour intensive book is a new collaborative work between Anna et Christian that continues their exploration of their collaboration with the specific medium of artist's books and their genre-blurring designing techniques. The book is a mise-en-abyme of media and techniques. The raw materials go through several medial iterations and transpositions, until the final result is achieved - a unique work that makes it hard to pinpoint one specific technique, instead focussing on the trademark edgy yet harmonious mood of the final artist's book, which becomes a witness to its own genesis as well as an art object in itself. The title references a collaborative poster by Christopher Wool and Felix Gonzales-Torres: It is a blown-up printed text tat ends in the words "no more home". the last six letter on this poster, lifted from their context, fit this re-interpretative and lightheartedly self-reflexive "chop n' screw" work perfectly.
